Villa Mairea

Recently I’ve been a bit obsessed with nice buildings, and Villa Mairea is one of the nicest I’ve come across. It was built in 1937 by a Finnish architect Alvar Aalto in the middle of a pine forest in Finland as an ‘experimental house’ for his friends Harry and Maire Gullichsen. I wish I had amazing Finnish architect friends that would build me houses in the forest. Maybe one day.
